I am LadyH and I am the founder of 40plus. We are a long-standing, multi-cultural and respected chat channel on the Starchat network. We have been around for over 10 years and can boast many members. I am always trying to create ways of keeping our members happy and interested, so this shopping site is our latest venture.

I have accumulated all the Top Names in shopping, along with some smaller, specialised stores for you to browse through. Please note that NO purchases are made through me or 40plus. All purchases are conducted through the merchants secure servers. All this site is doing is linking you to the bargains, rebates and coupons being offered by those stores, and most of those are done by RSS or automated Data Feeds. Your personal details are completely safe and there is no way that I can see who you are or what you are doing on here. Any customer service enquiries should be done through the merchant website and not through 40plus. Of course, any technical issues that you find with the website should be directed to me (LadyH) immediately.

40plus has found a nice, stable and well administered home on Starchat and you will find people from all over the world in there, all very different, but two things they all have in common is that they love to chat and they love to shop! I call it Sh-atting when they do it at the same time!

We feel like a family in #40plus and we welcome newcomers. Our clean channel enjoys wavs, mp3's and small popups but most of all good humour and broad minds! We communicate outside the channel via an Email Listserv and also Discussion and Blog boards, which welcomes writing contributions on any subject from anyone subscribed. We have an extensive and informative website and you can find most of our members pics there with personal bios. There are 20 channel @operators in #40plus (not all at once of course!), but you will find they are quite lenient and just want you to enjoy your stay without being offensive to anyone else in the channel. You will probably find someone to chat to 24 hours a day with the channel becoming quite busy in the evenings (US time). We have standard conduct guidelines in #40plus and people will only be kicked if they blatantly abuse it.
